Make Money with Google the Legitimate way

How do you make money with Google?

This is one of the questions that I get asked all the time and it never ceases to amaze me how confused people get when they try and search for the answer to this question. With all the hype around the so called ‘Google Business in a box’ and ‘Google kits’ that are advertised everywhere, it’s no wonder people are getting confused and frustrated.

First of all let me start by saying there is only ONE legitimate way of earning money directly from Google online, unless of course you are hired as a staff member by Google and are working at the Google Headquarters. The only legitimate way you can receive Checks from Google themselves is with the Google Adsense Program.

You may have seen these fancy ads that say something like ‘Make a thousand dollars a week from Posting Links on Google’ and then it has an image of a cheque below. Let me worn you now that these are all scams trying to take your hard earned cash from you and you should never try these rubbish programs.

Google has never offered any such programs and they never will as they already have enough staff members to take care of things like that.

So what is Google Adsense and how much money can you make?

To use Google Adsense you will need to have a website or a blog of your own and then you will need to sign up for an Account by going here to Google Adsense.

Basically once you set up your account with Adsense, Google will place some ads on your site that are relevant to your content and whenever someone clicks on the ads you will be paid a small commission.

The commissions will vary depending on which ads are placed on your site but you can expect to get anywhere from 5 to 50 cents per click. Google will pay you once a month but your account balance must reach the threshold which is usually 150 dollars.

It is possible to make some descent money with Google and in actual fact some people are making a full time living using just Adense, but as you may have noticed the commissions are very low so in order to get chunky pay packet you need a ton of traffic to your site.

I use Adsense for my sites and I think it is a great way to make a little bit of money that can cover things like the cost of your hosting and domain name, but I definitely would never use it as the main income for your site for the simple fact that the commissions are just far too small. So even if you were getting a lot of visitors to your site you will be far better off selling them a product that has higher commissions.
